Personal Injury Mental Health Evaluations
Services are available in both English and Spanish.
We provide personal injury mental health evaluations for adults who have faced psychological distress due to accidents or incidents (car accidents, slips and falls, dog bites, burn injuries, electrocution, premises liability, public assaults, wrongful death, medical malpractice).
The evaluation process includes:
Clinical
Interviews
Standardized Testing
A review of Medical Records and History
Examining Collateral Information, Such as Medical Documents, Letters, and Police Reports
Report Writing
The purpose of this evaluation is to identify psychological conditions that may have developed due to the injury, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression.
During a personal injury evaluation, we assess the individual at five key points to illustrate how the event has impacted them.
These five points are:
ā1. Functioning BEFORE the alleged injury
ā
2. Functioning DURING/IMMEDIATELY AFTER the alleged injury
ā
3. Functioning BETWEEN the INJURY and the EVALUATION
ā
4. Functioning at the TIME OF the EVALUATION
ā
5. Functioning in the FUTURE
The evaluation results are compiled into a comprehensive psychological report that details the individual’s mental health status and outlines how the injury has affected that status. The information gathered is crucial in personal injury cases, as it can influence the compensation awarded and highlight the need for ongoing mental health support. Together, we can support your journey toward healing and empowerment.
